GoblinPrincete The whole EP is wonderful but All In Time's patient build swells to something really magical that makes it the standout for m. SUCHI has been crushing it for a hot minute now, and this EP is no exception. Favorite track: All In Time.

past-times SUCHI killing it right now. Stellar EP, Latin influenced riddims over a 4x4 beat with bass to destroy the dance floor! That snare and arpeggio synth man, can’t get enough - what’s not to love?! Favorite track: Birdy Bell.

BeatsaNdBuds betterhalves form and fold throughout, thanks dancefloors worldwide and SUCHI incorporated or otherwise. is a comfort of mine that I tend to stick away from, here's to that help maintain this as a personally welcoming release for years to come.

about

Oslo-born, London-bred, and Delhi-influenced DJ and producer SUCHI joins Ghostly’s Spectral Sound label for Birdy Bell, a new EP exhibiting the potent hybrid sound that’s earned her artist-to-watch status from Mixmag and DJ Mag and praise from Pitchfork, Vogue, Rolling Stone, and more. SUCHI peppers her productions with flavors from all the places she's lived in (Oslo, London, Delhi, New York, and now Manchester). Whether it’s Norwegian Sami Joik fused with broken beat or soft tabla percussions weaved into ethereal vocals, she continues to define her sound through the musical inspirations she grew up with. On Birdy Bell, she deftly weaves through that hard-hitting cross-section of genres, from experimental club to prog, house, and techno, all under the operative to move.

SUCHI thrives in the unexpected; unusual sounds materialize across the set, and sometimes only once — a cut-up laugh on “Birdy Bell,” a flanging cell phone ring on “100 Rupees,” the elastic voice that multiplies through “All In Time” — giving the music a sensorial tilt that’s impossible to ignore. The three tracks are brimming with peak-time drum patterns and merciless bounce.

“Birdy Bell” also sees a remix by Miami’s Nick León, who is on a tear at the moment, fresh off his Best Track of 2022 honor in Resident Advisor for “Xstasis” and a DJ set for Frank Ocean’s Homer Radio. The producer hones in on the structure for a punchier, clean, brutalist edit.
